Overview
The Shadow Dragon is a limited legendary pet in Adopt Me!, first released on October 18, 2019 during the Halloween Event (2019). At the time it could be bought from the Candy Trading Shop for 1,000 Robux. Now that the event is long over, it can only be obtained through trading with other players.
It's one of the four "shadow/dragon" Halloween legendaries that defined early Adopt Me trading, and it remains a centerpiece of many collections thanks to its dark, skeletal design and glowing details.
The Shadow Dragon is no longer obtainable in-game — every one in circulation comes from the 2019 event, which keeps demand high among collectors.
How to Obtain
There is only one way to get a Shadow Dragon today:
Trading
Trade with other players for one. As a sought-after limited legendary, expect to offer a strong, fair bundle of pets or other limiteds.

Tricks
Like all pets, the Shadow Dragon learns a new trick at each growth stage as you age it up from Newborn to Full Grown:

Neon & Mega Neon
Combining four Full Grown Shadow Dragons in the Neon Cave creates a Neon Shadow Dragon, which glows light purple on its horns, claws, tongue, inner wings, and parts of its spine.
Combining four Full Grown Neon Shadow Dragons produces a Mega Neon, which glows in those same areas while cycling smoothly through the colors of the rainbow.
Collector Notes
- It's a limited legendary, so its rarity only increases over time — no new ones enter the game.
- Making a Neon or Mega Neon requires multiple Full Grown copies, which adds heavily to its overall worth.
- Always trade through the in-game Trade System and confirm both sides before accepting.
