Overview
The Malayan Tapir is a charming common pet that made its debut in Adopt Me! on March 2, 2023. Although it is no longer available from eggs, players can still find it by hatching any leftover Southeast Asia Eggs or through trading.
This pet features a distinctive appearance with a black body, a gray back, and a unique trunk. Its ears have gray tips, and it stands on four feet, with captivating black eyes to complete its look.
The Malayan Tapir was initially known as the Malaysian Tapir upon its release.
How to Obtain
Hatch from Southeast Asia Egg
Players have a 35% chance to hatch a common pet from a Southeast Asia Egg, but only an 11.67% chance to hatch a Malayan Tapir.
Trade with other players
Obtain the Malayan Tapir through trading with other players.
Tricks
Like all pets, it learns a new trick at each growth stage as you age it up from Newborn to Full Grown:

Neon & Mega Neon
The Neon Malayan Tapir glows green on its back, the tips of its ears, and its four feet. To create a Neon version, combine four Full Grown Malayan Tapirs.
The Mega Neon Malayan Tapir shares the same glowing areas as the Neon version, but these areas cycle through the colors of the rainbow. Four Full Grown Neon Malayan Tapirs are needed to make a Mega Neon.

- As a common pet, it's relatively easier to obtain than rarer pets when trading.
- The unique appearance of the Neon and Mega Neon versions makes them a colorful addition to collections.
- Although not available from new eggs, trading provides a consistent way to acquire this pet.
