Overview
The Hippo is a charming rare pet in Adopt Me!, introduced on June 8, 2023, alongside the Danger Egg. With its distinct brown body, white protruding teeth, and cute pink inner ears, it's become a player favorite.
Currently, the Hippo is unobtainable from new eggs since the Danger Egg has been retired. However, players still have a chance to acquire this lovable creature through hatching any remaining Danger Eggs or by trading with others.
When hatching a Danger Egg, there's a 20% chance of obtaining a rare pet, but only a 10% chance specifically to get a Hippo, making it a sought-after addition to any collection.
The Hippo has a unique glow pattern in its Neon form, with glowing yellow ears, teeth, and underbelly.
How to Obtain
From Eggs
Hatch any remaining Danger Eggs for a chance to get a Hippo.
Trading

Tricks
Like all pets, it learns a new trick at each growth stage as you age it up from Newborn to Full Grown:
| Age | Trick |
|---|---|
| Newborn | Sit |
| Junior | Joyful |
| Pre-Teen | Beg |
| Teen | Jump |
Neon & Mega Neon
In its Neon form, the Hippo features a striking yellow glow on its inner ears, teeth, and underbelly. Creating a Neon Hippo requires four Full Grown Hippos.
The Mega Neon version takes this a step further, with the glowing areas cycling through all the colors of the rainbow. Crafting a Mega Neon Hippo requires four Full Grown Neon Hippos.
