Overview
The 2D Kitty is a one-of-a-kind legendary pet in Adopt Me!, first appearing as an April Fools Day surprise on April 1, 2021. Initially, players could obtain it by interacting with Burt near the Nursery, but it was a temporary pet that vanished after the event.
The 2D Kitty made a comeback on December 16, 2025, for the 2D Tuesday event. This event gives players a temporary 2D Kitty, but for a permanent one, you'll need a little luck with a 2D Box, which can be earned by completing tasks during the event.
Visually, the 2D Kitty stands out with its sketch-like appearance, featuring bold black outlines and a simple white fill. Its charming design resembles a classic cartoon drawing, complete with pointy ears, whiskers, and a waving tail.
The 2D Box only has a 2% chance of granting a permanent 2D Kitty.
How to Obtain
2D Box
Complete tasks during the 2D Tuesday event to earn a 2D Box and try your luck for a permanent 2D Kitty.
Trading
Trade with other players who own a permanent 2D Kitty.
Tricks
Like all pets, it learns a new trick at each growth stage as you age it up from Newborn to Full Grown:

Neon & Mega Neon
The Neon 2D Kitty features glowing red lines along its body and details, giving it an extra pop of color. To create a Neon 2D Kitty, you'll need four Full Grown 2D Kitties.
As for the Mega Neon 2D Kitty, it enhances the Neon effect by cycling through all the colors of the rainbow, making it a vibrant display. You'll need four Full Grown Neon 2D Kitties to achieve this stunning transformation.
Collector Notes
- The temporary 2D Kitty provided during 2D Tuesday can't be traded or kept permanently.
- A permanent 2D Kitty is quite rare, as it can only be obtained from a 2D Box with a 2% chance.
- During 2D Tuesday, enjoy 2x Bucks and XP when interacting with your temporary 2D Kitty.
- Remember, the task to earn a 2D Box is available once per week, so plan your playtime accordingly.
